Kate Hirschmann-Levy, MD, is a trusted obstetrician and gynecologist at Southern Connecticut Women’s Health Care Associates in Milford and Westport, Connecticut. She guides patients of all ages through each step of womanhood, prioritizing their health, comfort, and privacy.
Dr. Hirschmann-Levy has the skills and knowledge to provide unmatched care as well as a unique awareness of the emotional side of health care. She treats patients with kindness and compassion throughout some of the most personal moments of their lives.
Throughout Dr. Hirschmann-Levy’s extensive educational background, she earned multiple awards for her talent and hard work. She graduated with honors from the prestigious Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, before using her Fulbright Program scholarship to provide women’s health care in Latin America.
She then moved to California to earn her medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine. During her time there, she won the Chancellor Award for Public Service and the Albert Schweitzer Fellowship for her commitment to women’s health. Specifically, she founded and forefronted a special project for incarcerated women.
After finishing school, Dr. Hirschmann-Levy completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City. Her aptitude for patient care was quickly recognized, and she was elected chief resident.
Today, Dr. Hirschmann-Levy provides prenatal care, routine gynecology exams, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, treatment for miscarriages, and more at Southern Connecticut Women’s Health Care Associates. When she’s not in either office counseling patients about their care or providing innovative treatments, Dr. Hirschmann-Levy teaches future gynecologists as an assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology at Columbia University Medical Center at New York Presbyterian/Allen Hospital in Manhattan, New York.
